ELDERS YAMBA HOLIDAY BOOKING CONDITIONS
Thank you for choosing to book your holiday accommodation through Elders Real Estate Yamba. We hope you will enjoy your holiday in this beautiful area. Please read the following conditions carefully:
- Bookings: A booking is NOT confirmed until the full deposit has been paid and the booking conditions and online guest check in is completed by the guest. All bookings are arranged for the dates shown on your e-mail / letter and are made in good faith by us.
- Booking fee: All bookings are subject to a booking fee payable at the time of paying the deposit. Additional booking fees apply when booking via external websites (i.e. booking.com, Stayz, etc). All booking fees are non refundable.
- Deposit: A deposit of 50% plus the booking fee is required within 7 days of booking. Any bookings made within 30 days of the arrival date, full payment will be required at time of booking.
- Balance Due: Remaining balance is due 1 month prior to arrival, with the exception of bookings in Peak Seasons where the balance is due 2 months prior to arrival.
- Re-booking: Due to high demand for bookings, particularly during peak season, all re-bookings must be made prior to day of departure to avoid disappointment. Deposits are due within 7 days of re-booking.
- Cancellation: All cancellations will incur a $100 cancellation fee. Any booking fees and credit card processing fees are not refundable. Deposits are only refunded if written notice of cancellation is received 8 weeks prior to your arrival date. If you cancel your booking within 8 weeks of your arrival date any refund is subject to us rebooking the property for the same time as your booking. In the event that we are instructed by the owner to cancel your booking a full refund will be made to you.
- Security Deposit: Credit card number, expiry date and CVV are to be provided prior to arrival. No money will be deducted from your credit card unless we need to make a claim, of which you will be notified. The claim may be for, but is not limited to, the following reasons; excess cleaning fee (inc BBQ), damage to property, theft of property, garbage removal, breakages, late check out.
- Changes to booking: We cannot be held responsible for the actions taken by the owner of the property, e.g. sale of property, increased tariff, alteration of the property, withdrawal of property from letting or cancellations of booking. Every endeavour to find alternative accommodation shall be made by us.
- Arrival & Departure: The property is available from 3pm (NSW time) on the day of arrival and must be vacated no later than 10 am (NSW time) on the day of departure. Failure to vacate by the required time will incur a penalty of $50.
- Keys: On the day of departure, all keys are to be returned to our office or left in the lock box as per instructions provided by the notified time. Failure to return keys on the morning of departure may incur replacement cost for locks and keys.
- Lockout: If you lock yourself out of your accommodation after hours, a call out fee of $100 applies.
- Use of Premises: The property is rented to by Elders Yamba for holiday use only – no functions/parties/schoolies etc. Your occupation or use of the property which (in our absolute discretion) causes nuisance or annoyance to adjoining or neighbouring occupiers will be terminated immediately with no refund.
- Occupancy: Each holiday property is equipped for a specific number of guests. No mattresses, tents, caravans or more cars than the property accommodates are allowed. It is against Health Department Regulations for more persons to occupy a property than there are beds to accommodate them. The guest limits apply for the duration of the booking. Any unapproved excess guests/visitors may result in your booking being cancelled with no refund.
- Cleaning: You agree to leave the property in a clean and tidy state using the equipment provided, including washing up done and stacked away and BBQ cleaned. If the property is left in an unsatisfactory condition, any costs for cleaning above the standard items will incur an excess cleaning charge. Please ensure all garbage is wrapped and removed from the property and placed in the appropriate garbage bins provided. Fish must not be cleaned in or on the property. Any damage to the property, breakages, and lost keys are to be reported and paid for by you. BBQ’s (if provided) must be left clean or a $75 charge will apply. Furniture must not be moved, a $75 charge will apply if furniture has to be moved back in place.
- Linen: The property is fully furnished including kitchen facilities, however, you will need to bring your own sheets, pillowcases, towels, tea towels and bath mats unless the property is advertised with linen included. Other things you will need to bring are soaps, dish washing liquid, toilet paper, beach towels, condiments etc. Linen hire is available through Yamba Laundry (02) 6646 1571.
- Pets: All pets and animals are strictly forbidden in or around the property unless advertised as a pet friendly whereby an outside dog is permitted. Guests are responsible for the removal of all pet hair, droppings, bones and for the filling of holes made by the dog/s otherwise a $50 charge will apply.
- Smoking: Smoking is not permitted inside any of our properties or on the grounds of some. If evidence of smoking inside the property is detected you will be charged for steam cleaning of carpets and furniture, laundering of all soft furnishings and linens, plus replacement of linen where necessary.
- Faults and Malfunctions: All properties are privately owned and are rented on a fully contained basis. In the event of faults and/or malfunctions of appliances or inclusions, please notify our office ASAP. There is no obligation for the owner or Elders Yamba to compensate or discount. You accept the property as booked and you cannot be relocated.
- Tradespeople callouts: If a tradesperson is sent out upon your request to carry out repair that was unnecessary, the cost of the callout will be charged to you.
- Personal Property: No responsibility is accepted by Elders Yamba or the owner for any personal property left in or around the property. A cost of $30 plus postage and packing applies for returning items. Any items will be held for claiming for a maximum of 2 weeks.
- Injury and Loss: Holiday guests are encouraged to undertake travel insurance for their stay, as neither the property owner nor the agent accepts any liability for any injury, debt, damage, loss, delay, expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by events beyond the agent or owners control.
- Property Access: You agree to allow Elders Yamba or our nominee’s to enter the property to arrange any necessary repairs. In the event of the property being offered for sale, inspections with prospective purchasers may be necessary during reasonable hours by appointment.
- Construction Noise: In the event of renovation/building work being carried out in or near the holiday premises, such work is beyond our control and we cannot accept responsibility for your any disturbance, noise or inconvenience you may suffer as a result. No discount will be negotiated for any of the above.
- Short Term Accommodation Code of Conduct: A mandatory code of conduct for the short-term accommodation industry applies. This code imposes standards for property owners and guests. A copy of this code of conduct can be found here. In making a booking, the guest confirms that they have been made aware of this code of conduct, have read it, and understand their obligations in relation to this code.
- General: Any printed, written or verbal description of the property and facilities is given in good faith and no responsibility for misinterpretation will be accepted. Please choose your property carefully as there will be no provision to change properties or offer a refund on your arrival if you are unhappy with your choice.
